Apollycon Featured Author: Spotlighting Sarah J. Maas

This weekend is Apollycon!

This week, I'm featuring a series of author spotlights leading up to the event.
(Mixed in with a few upcoming blog tour posts to break things up a bit!)

With over 30 authors in attendance, the decision was hard, but ultimately, I decided to focus on authors I'll definitely be standing in line to meet.

I'm a featured blogger, so after the event, look forward to a big wrap-up post. I'm going with two friends, and we've had tickets for both the signing and the after-party since the day they went on sale in September.

WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!

Today, I'd like to introduce you to Sarah J. Maas. I've been a fan of Sarah's since the very beginning! I'd been trolling the internet looking for good original fairy tale retellings on Fiction Press (because I wasn't willing to read all the junk to get to them) and I saw people talking about a series that had been pulled for upcoming publication. I started following Sarah immediately on her journey, and she has introduced me to so many other amazing authors.

I was lucky enough to meet her two years ago in Philly, where I got to introduce her to Kat, who also loves her now, and we both got to see her again last year at BEA. I don't think I'll wait in her signing line this weekend because it's going to be mobbed. Now that Sarah is semi-local, I'm hoping to see her at a local signing...maybe when A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES comes out in May!? But I definitely want to run into her at some point and say hi!!!

About the Author

I’m Sarah J. Maas, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series (Heir of Fire, Book 3, will be out in September 2014). The Assassin’s Blade, a bind-up of all five TOG novellas is out now! Starting in Spring 2015 – my New Adult Fantasy series, A Court of Thorns and Roses, will be published by Bloomsbury as well! Hooray! I was born/raised in Manhattan, but traded freezing winters and sweltering summers for No Winter Ever Weather when I followed my then-boyfriend (now husband!) out to California in 2008. After six years in SoCal, I’ve finally returned to the East Coast, and am currently residing in the Philadelphia area. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hamilton College with a degree in Creative Writing, and a minor in Religious Studies. I’m represented by Tamar Rydzinski of the Laura Dail Literary Agency.
